This week Carissa, Erica and I did some dying of clothes and fabric.  We had 11, yes 11 colors.  I was really excited about this gray that I thought was going to be darker than it ended up being. But we all decided that this very bright teal was our favorite.  At the beginning before we knew how amazing it was I threw my precious madonna shirt in there and it ended up being THE BEST.  It looks way better teal, worth the risk.  

The band LAKE almost came to Cedar Rapids to visit Wednesday.  They are on their way around the country and needed a break.  We were very excited about the possibility of 7 wayward travels stopping through, it didn’t work out.  But the idea of a van full of people stopping for a night was fun anyways.  They are a wonderful and sweet band and you should check them out.

I sold seven things on etsy this week! Definitely a record. Very exciting for me.  Carissa put gold tassels on a pair of black boots I found and they sold in a day, off to Seattle.

I am sewing like a madwoman.  What a Load of Craft 5 is December 13th and my inventory is growing like crazy.

Leslie and the Lys (the band I am in) will be playing at the Vaudeville Mews on 11/29, Saturday. We made it $5 in hopes that people strolling by would go “what is this” and then fork over 5 just to see the shiny spandex.
